Welcome to Class 12 (Year 4)
Welcome to Class 12!
Hi, my name is Miss Charlton and I am the teacher in class 12. My glamorous teaching assistants, Miss Gregson and Miss Bell support me each morning during Literacy and Numeracy.
We are going to be filling our heads full of new knowledge this term and you can find out about what we are learning by clicking on the link below.
If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I look forward to working with you and thank you for your support.
Your child should bring their homework diary to school each day. Literacy and numeracy homework is handed out on a Monday and needs to be returned to school by Friday. We ask that parents/carers ensure that the diary is signed every Friday.
At Greenland, we provide lots of opportunities for your children to read, both independently and through shared reading. Your child will be given an Accelerated Reader book and a library book. It is expected that they will take their reading book home each day so they can practise with an adult.
This half term the children are going to be improving their swimming skills and will have a lesson each Tuesday afternoon at The Louisa Centre. Children will need a full swimming kit – swimming costume/shorts and a towel. Girls will require a swimming hat. Swimming goggles are optional.
Although we encourage the children to be independent, they have lots to remember so your support to ensure they come to school equipped with everything they need is greatly appreciated.
We are going to have a fantastic year in Class 12. We are going to work hard but have lots of fun too! We will try and put as much information on here as we can to show you what we have been up to, what we have to look forward to and anything else that we think you might find useful, so keep popping back!
