Welcome to Class 4 (Year 1)
My name is Mrs. Kerry and I am the teacher in class 4. Ms Hunter is the Teaching Assistant who supports me each morning during Literacy and Numeracy.
Your child will be provided with a reading book and reading record, this can be returned as often as you like to school (at least once per week) but please listen to your child read the book 2 or 3 times to help develop fluency. Please sign the record so that we know your child has been listened to. If you would like to comment on your child’s reading, please do.
P.E. takes place on a Friday afternoon this half term. PE kit consists of a white T-Shirt and green or black shorts. Suitable footwear is required for outdoor activities. PE kits can be left on your child’s peg for the half term.
Please put your child’s initials inside ALL clothing.
We aim to make this year an enjoyable experience for all of the children in Class 4 and have many exciting events and activities planned for the year ahead. We are going to work hard but have lots of fun too! As you will appreciate, children are able to progress further with continued support from those around them at home and this we encourage greatly at Greenland Primary School.
If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I look forward to working with you and thank you for your support.
