Welcome to Class 12 (Year 4)

A very warm welcome to class 12! My name is Miss McKeown and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I aim to make this year an enjoyable experience for all of the children in Class 12 and have many exciting events and activities planned for the year ahead. As you will appreciate, children are able to progress further with continued support from those around them at home and this we encourage greatly at Greenland Primary School.

If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at school. I look forward to working with you and thank you for your support.

Homework
It is very important that children take their reading book home and practise reading every night. Also, they should complete accelerated reading tests at home. Children are expected to go on times table rock stars as often as possible, focusing on the 3, 4 and 8 times tables. Children will be given a spelling list on Monday which they should practice in preparation for a spelling test on Friday morning.

Our Learning

We will keep the website and our school Twitter account updated with some of the fun things that we have been doing and learning about over the course of the year! Please ask your child’s teacher if you wish to know more.
